In 1970, John and Louise Strasser founded Orange Line Oil Company, Inc., a wholesale distributor of lubrication products. John began his career in the oil business as a driver and salesman for Texaco. He left Texaco and began Orange Line from his garage.
In 1974, Henry and Nona Spitzer founded Topanga Oil Products. Over the next 30 years, Topanga Oil grew through the efforts of its team, as well as by acquisition of Cantrel Oil, Ernst Distributing, Rube Deering Distribution, South Bay Oil, and Miller Equipment.
Orange Line Oil Company and Topanga Oil Products grew to become two of the largest independent lubricant distributors in the West.
In 2007, these two great companies merged, creating a powerful force for quality lubricant, chemical, and equipment sales. Together, operating under the Orange Line Oil Company name, they sell over five million gallons of lubricants annually throughout Southern California from San Luis Obispo to San Diego. With two warehouses, fifteen delivery vehicles, nine field personnel, a complete in-house equipment division, and a dedicated support staff, Orange Line Oil has the tools to partner with you and exceed your expectations.
